Universal Credit Employer Focus Groups

Northern Ireland businesses are invited to share their views on Universal Credit and the likely impact it will have on their business

Universal Credit is a new benefit that will replace six existing benefits with a simpler, single monthly (or twice monthly) payment if an individual is out of work or on a low income.
It will eventually replace Income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance, Income-related Employment and Support Allowance, Income Support, Working Tax Credit, Child Tax Credit and Housing Benefit.
Universal Credit will gradually be rolled out in Northern Ireland from April 2014 and will be completed by 2017.
