Bad debt hitting SME profits

Bad debts and late payments are hitting the bottom line at UK SMEs, with one in four facing problems, a new study has indicated.



The SME Confidence Tracker, compiled by Bibby Financial Services, found that about 25 per cent of SMEs are affected by their customers' inability to pay. This equates to about 1.3 million SMEs in the UK.
